Joint statement to members of the European Parliament on Rome II

Press Freedom threatened by multiple libel actions accross Europe: Media and Journalists urge MEPs to find solutions.
A public hearing took place at the European Parliament in Brussels on 28 January, organised by the Committee on Legal Affairs and chaired by Diana Wallis MEP (ALDE, UK) who is the Parliament’s rapporteur on the Rome II regulation.
On the occasion of this hearing, ENPA together with the other European media and journalists organisations published a joint statement in order to raise awareness on the risk of forum shopping and the impact it has on press freedom.
